Derwent Tower (aka the Dunston Rocket) being demolished after sitting empty for a few years. It was built between 1968 and 1971 and is of a Brutalist design. It was designed by architect Owen Luder who was also responsible for Trinity Square which included the infamous Get Carter car park. Demolition began earlier this year after an unsuccessful bid to gain listed status.
